David Park, a senior honor student at Parkland
High School, currently studies violin with Inna Eyzerovich since 2010. He began
studying the violin 9 years ago.
David
serves as the principal violinist of the Parkland Orchestra along with
participating in the Pit Orchestra, Honors Chamber Orchestra, and Strolling
Strings. His musical skills also earned him the position of concertmaster of
the Young People’s Philharmonic of the Lehigh Valley. He is a member of Antioch
Church of Philadelphia Youth Orchestra.
David performed with the
Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 10, Region IV/V, and
All-State Orchestras. He also performed in American High School Honors Performance
Series at Carnegie Hall 2014.
Academically, David advanced to
National Merit Finalist and achieved the status of an AP Scholar Honors Award. He
serves as historian officer of the National Honor Society of Parkland High
School chapter and treasurer of National Spanish Honor Society of Parkland High
School chapter. He also enjoys participating in All-State level of the Future
Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and is a member of Parkland High School Math
League, LEO Club, and GEO club.
Athletically, David was Long
Distance Runner for Varsity Track & Field in 2011.
David
will attend Northwestern University next fall, where he plans to major in Biomedical
Engineering while remaining active in music on campus.
